INQUIRE NOW

Dick’s Classic Motors is excited to present this stunning 1970 Dodge Challenger T/A Clone Restomod 440ci V8 for sale in our Mesa, Arizona showroom. The Challenger debuted in 1970 with two series – the standard Challenger and the Challenger R/T – and it quickly became one of the most iconic muscle cars of its era. A special model, the Challenger T/A, was introduced for the 1970 model year, and this car has been beautifully restored and upgraded to T/A clone specifications.

Interior Features:

Inside, this Challenger boasts high-back bucket seats and a rear bench seat all finished in sleek black vinyl, accompanied by a matching headliner, dashboard, door panels, and carpet. The woodgrain trim accents on the dashboard, center console, and door panels add a touch of elegance. The classic woodgrain steering wheel frames the Rallye instrumentation, which includes a 120-mph speedometer, fuel gauge, temp gauge, and alternator gauge. Additional features include an EQUUS 8K RPM tach mounted to the dash and an EQUUS water and oil tach just underneath. The modern Kenwood head unit (AM/FM/CD) keeps you connected while you cruise. The five-digit odometer shows 49,618 miles, a reflection of this car’s well-maintained condition.

Exterior Features:

The Challenger now wears the iconic Panther Pink paint, complemented by matte black hood and side stripes. Originally, the car left the factory in Bright Red (FE5) with a full black vinyl roof (V1X), but the stunning Panther Pink makes it stand out from the crowd. Other distinctive features include a flip-up fuel door with a locking gas cap, body color mirrors, and a sport hood with dual scoops and hold-down pins. The paint is in excellent condition, and the front and rear chrome bumpers are also in great shape, adding to the car’s striking appearance.

Engine & Performance:

Under the hood, this Challenger is powered by a HiPo 440ci V8 paired with an A727 Torqueflite automatic transmission for smooth shifting and plenty of power. The car has been upgraded with a Borgeson 12:1 quick ratio steering box for improved handling and responsiveness. Additional performance upgrades include drilled and slotted disc brakes, Bilstein shocks, Hotchkis torsion bar and springs, Hellwig front and rear sway bars, QA1 upper control arms, and Hedman long tube headers for increased performance. The car sits on an 8 ¾ rear end with 355 gears for enhanced acceleration. It rolls on Cooper Cobra tires (P275/60R15 rear and P235/60R15 front) mounted to 15” Mopar Rallye wheels for that classic muscle car stance. A full-size spare is also located in the trunk for convenience.
